SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On October 2nd, 2026, at 0603 hours, Troopers from the Berlin State Police Barracks responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on I-89 N Exit 8 off ramp, in the town of Montpelier Vermont. After speaking with the operator, John Lloyd Dyer (44) of Rutland, Vermont, Troopers detected signs of impairment. Dyer was subsequently arrested and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing. Dyer was processed and cited to appear in the Vermont Superior Court – Washington Criminal Division on October 5th, 2026, at 1230 hours to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence and Negligent Operation.
