SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On October 18th, 2026, at approximately 2128 hours, the Vermont State Police received a report of a restraining order violation that occurred in Waterville. State Police ultimately located Michael Buchanan, Jr, 34, of Johnson, at a residence in Johnson, and were assisted by Morristown and Stowe Police Departments. Investigation revealed that Buchanan was in violation of his Conditions of Release and a Final Relief From Abuse Order.
Buchanan was placed under arrest and subsequently transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing. He was then transported to the Northwest Regional State Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.
