SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: At the above date and time, Troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for a speed violation. The operator was identified as Steven D. Gesner (37) of Thiells, NY. Following investigation, Gesner was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks for processing. Gesner refused to submit to an evidentiary breath and was issued a citation and ordered to appear at Vermont Superior Court - Bennington Criminal Division on November 23, 2026, at 0830 hours. Gesner was transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility for alcohol detoxification.
